Ghost

Publish to your Ghost site without copying a post by hand

Write once on your LookMyBio blog. When the post goes live, a copy lands on your Ghost publication with its images, embeds, tags and a canonical URL that credits the original.

The same post can also go to the other blogs you connect, from Starter.

  • Connect with an API key
  • Sent as HTML
  • Canonical URL to your post
  • Up to 10 tags
  • Later edits sent on request

The blog editor in the app with a post by Estúdio Norte, a brand studio: cover, title, subtitle and text. Then its Cross-post window, sending the post to each of the blog's destinations one after another.

Your Ghost members expect the post too

Keeping a newsletter on Ghost and a blog somewhere else means pasting the same article into the Ghost editor, uploading the images again and remembering to set the canonical URL so search engines know which one came first.

Your digital presence doesn't have to be this fragmented

LookMyBio brings the whole flow into one platform, so you produce in a more organized way and stay in control of what gets published.

How it works

  1. Add a custom integration

In Ghost Admin, open Integrations, add a custom one and copy its Admin API key and your site address.

  2. Paste it once

Connect Ghost in the blog's cross-post settings on LookMyBio. The key stays with that destination.

  3. Tick Ghost on a post

Pick Ghost in the Cross-post window. The copy goes out the moment the post publishes, or at its scheduled time.

Connected with the Admin API key Ghost gives you

Ghost publishes through its Admin API, so there is no password to share: a custom integration hands out a key that only that integration uses, and you can revoke it in Ghost whenever you like.

  • Works with Ghost(Pro) and self-hosted Ghost sites
  • Send the copy live or keep it as a draft in Ghost
02 · Ghost

Images, players and tags arrive in place

The post is sent as HTML, so headings, lists and images keep their layout, and a YouTube video or a post on X stays a player inside the Ghost article. Ghost takes up to 10 tags; any beyond that are left off.

  • Your cover image becomes the feature image
  • Excerpt and title come along
03 · Ghost

Ghost knows your blog came first

Ghost has a canonical URL field of its own, and the copy fills it with the address of your original post. Search engines read that and send the credit to your blog instead of splitting it.

  • No extra line is added to the article body
04 · Ghost

Fix it on your blog, push it to Ghost

After you edit the original, the Cross-post window marks the Ghost copy as out of date and offers to send the change, so the two never drift apart without you knowing.

  • Comments left by Ghost members stay in Ghost: there is no documented API to read them

Reach readers in another language

Translate a finished post into a new linked draft in another language, check it, then cross-post that version to Ghost like any other post.

Ghost questions

For writers who already run a Ghost publication.

In Ghost Admin, under Settings, Integrations. Add a custom integration, give it a name, and copy the Admin API key and the API URL it shows.

The copy is published as a post on your site. Whether Ghost also sends it as a newsletter is up to the settings of your publication; send it as a draft if you want to decide in Ghost first.

No. The Ghost copy sets its canonical URL to your original post, which is how Ghost tells search engines where an article first appeared.

The Ghost copy keeps its version until you push the update from the Cross-post window; then Ghost receives the edited text, images and tags.

Cross-posting starts on Starter, from $27 a month. Writing and publishing on your own blog comes with the bio page.

Give your Ghost publication a steady feed

Connect the key once, and every post you pick lands on Ghost with the credit pointing home.
