beehiiv
Turn each blog post into a beehiiv issue you can review
Publish on your LookMyBio blog, and the article waits in beehiiv as a draft with its images, cover and tags, so you decide when your subscribers get it.
beehiiv sits next to your other connected blogs in the same window, from Starter.
- Connect with an API key
- Sent as HTML
- Link back to your post
- Up to 10 tags

Your newsletter repeats what the blog already said
Rebuilding an article as a beehiiv post means copying it section by section, uploading the pictures again, retyping tags and adding a note that sends readers to the full piece on your site.
Your digital presence doesn't have to be this fragmented
LookMyBio brings the whole flow into one platform, so you produce in a more organized way and stay in control of what gets published.
How it works
Get your key and publication id
In beehiiv, open Settings, then API, create a key and note the publication id that starts with pub_.
Connect beehiiv
Save both on LookMyBio, where your blog lists its destinations. They are stored for that destination only.
Include beehiiv on a post
Check beehiiv in the Cross-post window. A draft shows up there as soon as the post is published on your blog, or at the time you scheduled.
An API key and the publication it belongs to
beehiiv's public API creates posts with a key you generate in its settings, plus the id of the publication that should receive them. No beehiiv password is shared.
- beehiiv only allows post creation through its API on its Pro and Enterprise plans
- Revoke the key in beehiiv to cut the connection
Built for the inbox, not just the web
The post goes over as HTML. Because a beehiiv post is also an email and mail apps do not play embedded videos, a YouTube clip or a post on X arrives as a plain link. beehiiv takes up to 10 content tags; the rest are dropped.
- Your cover image becomes the post thumbnail
- Title and subtitle travel with it
A closing line that credits your blog
beehiiv has no canonical URL setting, so the copy ends with an "Originally published at" line linking to your post. Readers who want the web version find it, and the original is clearly named.
- Nothing else in the article is changed
Drafts first, because each post can be an email
New copies start as drafts so nothing reaches subscribers until you check it in beehiiv. You can switch that off for a post to have it go out straight away.
- beehiiv accepts no edits through its API, so the copy keeps the version it first received
- Reader replies and comments stay in beehiiv; it offers no API to read them

Send an issue in your readers’ language
Create a linked draft of a finished post in another language, polish it, then send that version to beehiiv for subscribers who read in it.
